Toxicological Effect of Water-Borne Fe+Zn Mixture on Catalase Activity of Cirrhina mrigala and Labeo rohita

This study was conducted to assess the effects of water-borne Fe+Zn mixture on catalase activity in different organs Cirrhina mrigala and Labeo rohita. 90-day old fingerlings both fish species were exposed 1/2nd 1/5th their respective 96-hrs LC50 concentrations mixture, separately, at constant temperature (280C), pH (7.5), total hardness (225mgL-1). Fish sampling from each treatment done after 7, 14, 21, 28 days exposure viz. liver, kidney, gills, muscles extracted for enzyme assay. The maximum observed 1̸ 5th as 996.87±102.23UmL-1, while rohita it 1013.43±103.50 UmL-1 2nd concentration. A significant increase recorded 7th day 1083.66±7.29 1091.08±22.15 rohita, respectively significantly lower 28th exposure. Among organs, varied liver kidney gills Significantly higher compared mrigala.
